Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Myakka City, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The Golf Club, a premier private facility located in Myakka City, Florida, is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our agronomy team. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting new private golf clubs in the country. Working alongside Director of Agronomy Terry Kennelly, the successful candidate will gain hands-on golf course construction and grow-in experience at a world-class facility known for its innovative agronomic practices, significant ownership investment, and commitment to exceptional course conditions. For an ambitious Assistant Superintendent, Golf Club provides an outstanding environment to develop professionally, take on meaningful responsibility, and help shape the future of a club poised to become one of Florida’s premier golf destinations.
Requirements
• Certificate or associate degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (required)
• 5+ years of relevant golf course maintenance experience
• Strong understanding of warm-season turf management
• Florida pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience and a desire for career advancement
Compensation
$80,000 – $85,000 per year.
