Accentuate Staffing is seeking  a Payroll Assistant for one of our clients in Morrisville, NC., a well-established construction contractor. The Payroll Assistant will support the weekly processing of payroll and assist with employee benefits administration. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will bring payroll experience—preferably in construction—along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and process weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
• Set up new employees and maintain personnel records
• Assist with benefits administration, including 401(k) and health insurance enrollments
• Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports
• Maintain and update employee personnel files
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries

Requirements:

• 1+ years of payroll processing experience required
• Experience in the construction industry preferred
• Working knowledge of payroll procedures and related HR laws
• Experience with Sage Contractor 100 preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
